Too bad something so central and visible couldn’t have had a more inspired design... hopefully it’s well executed at least

Yup designs like these need to stop. Be nice to if developers would look at the areas here and see how similar all the the other towers in the area are to one another and not in a good way. They are “ok “on their own but together as a large group even if by other developers they look like one building from a distance. Dear city select variety not bland, standouts not blend ins. And for the last time there’s a million colours out there other then blue.

August 27 - Excavation at the Maverick site is well underway - with the support columns for the temporary staging platform to be installed along the King Street sidewalk now clearly visible.

Can someone tell me how many floors they going down ? It doesn't look like it's too deep for a skyscraper of 155 metres ! Or are they building a platform before they dig downwards.

The structure along the King Street sidewalk is a temporary staging platform - supported by some piers that were put in place during the shoring process. The overall dig in the area of the staging platform is paused while the formwork for the platform is being done, as they need a base to work from as the platform is being prepared - as can be seen in the photo above.
