The Honda dealer just moved a few months ago and they are in the process of demolishing it right now, so.. probably soon.

I actually quite like this project. Probably the largest missing middle project in the city. 481 units without exceeding 4 storeys is nothing to sneeze at.

Absolutely, these back to back, stated townhomes are a great missing middle housing type: dense, low rise and close to transit.

I didn't realize the Honda dealership just closed, I remember over 2 years ago being able to see the empty lot behind the Honda dealership from the GO Train.

Of note, since I was curious and didn't see any permits in the thread, I checked.

The site currently doesn't have the permit for construction at all, which explains the slow progress.

It has a permit from last October in relation to remediation.

Nice pics @Northern Light, appreciate the update. I pass by the site pretty regulalry and have neglected to take some photos myself. I know im terrible.

Reviewing the plans for the entire site as a whole, the fact that Long Branch Ave and Elder Ave (in addition to 1 local exit access road) will serve as the only entry/exit points to this complex is beyond mystifying. We're already seeing problems with eastbound streetcars being held up at this intersection, and there are a couple of other issues going on with entry into the complex westbound.

The fact that there are no plans for an access point in the eastern section of this site is just really questionable and is a glaring omission.

Next phase is Westshore at Long Branch:
