In answer to Rascacielo\'s query, yes they are demolishing (have already most of it) the newest entrance First Capital built on Yorkville for their upscale indoor mall. More\'s the pity because it was a very convenient way to enter. Anyway as can be seen in these photos of 4-30-2022, demolition is just about done now.

Projected construction timeline:

• Demolition: from November 2021 to June 2022;
• Excavation and shoring: from July 2022 to August 2023;
• Below grade formwork: from August 2023 to July 2024;
• Above grade formwork: from July 2024 to November 2026;
• Building envelope phase: from July 2025 to December 2026;
• Interior finishes stage: from March 2026 to November 2027.

Is there a plan to rebuild the entrance? Even if there's one, 5 years is a long time - I wonder how the food court and shops on the south end of the mall will fare without a direct link to Yorkville Ave.

Which got me wondering...............

There are currently no permits in place for further work here..........Shoring/foundation and above-grade permits of assorted descriptions are 'under review'.
