Friday, July 26. Several changes in the perimeter areas of the site. North of Queen Street the original sidewalk up Spadina has been reopened under the protective hoarding. A 'permanent' construction access gate has been set up at the north edge of the site on Bulwer Street. Utility work was also being done on Friday, which closed both traffic lanes on northbound Spadina at Queen, with all northbound vehicles being diverted onto the streetcar tracks.
South side of Queen Street, new 'permanent' (duration of the project) access gates have been set up at the west edge of the site on Queen Street, and close to the Queen intersection on Spadina.

There was a considerable uptick in dirt hauling truck traffic this morning, but it is hard to see what is actually happening as the main work site is located away from the gate.

September 3 - As noted by AnnetteMeetsJane above, it is very difficult to get a decent photo of the north site due to all the hoarding, and the actual excavation activities are taking place well set back from the entrance. Much excavation and truck movement is happening though.
On the south side, it looks like the site is still being prepared for the start of the major excavation activities. The main activity today appeared to be on the north retaining wall, with the ground around the wall being dug down, as seen in the photos below. Other than that, much of the previously on site equipment has now been removed.
