^The soft launch includes the lawn on the northeast corner of the island overlooking the Keating Channel.
Oh, cool! That's not what they were saying at the open house a month or two ago
 
It was stated last year the event area was to be a temporary parking lot this year and no idea if that is still the case.
 
Heads up there will be a talk and several neighbourhood tours for Doors Open Toronto May 23 & 24 at Biidaasige Park. Wasn't going to mention it because the announcement hasn't been made but just saw the site is live so it's public now anyway. The talk and tours are free but each one indicates attendees require a "ticket" but this might just be for having enough staff or other resources on hand. There are a few things I don't yet see on the map so it's probably a work in progress. Usually it all gets announced May 1.

Probably a chance the content of the programming isn't going to be all new info for regular readers of this thread lol, but hopefully the weather's good and it draws out the public
