I wonder if they'll boot out the gap or if they'll just work around them ?

Good architecture pays! Other Toronto developers, take note:

" 'We could have built a different building less expensively than it cost us to do it the way we did, but there is definitely an economic return in terms of the rent we can charge and the calibre of tenants we’re able to attract to the building,' Mr. Emory says. He estimates the rental premium over modern buildings of similar scale in the core of between 10 and 20 per cent."

The only flaw I can find in this development are the modern windows on the warehouse building. They cheapen the the look of it.

This is just very, very nicely done. Agreed with posters above that the windows in the heritage building could fit the older aesthetic more, but that lobby with the beams is beautiful.

I was walking by the other night and stopped to take a look from across the street, then a random guy stopped beside me and said he thought it was a beautiful building. No introduction or anything, this building just stands out that well. Amazing work done here.
