i'll be the first to demand aesthetic excellence in this city but when it comes to projects like this, mount sinai, toronto western, li ka shing, etc,etc,...i think practicality, functionalism and the social welfare goals must always remain the first priority and concern. i'm just happy toronto is experiencing such a surge in health related infrastructure.

Yes it is new. They did a great job matching the existing building bricks to have people make comments like you did ;-)

The Hospital for Incurables is looking fine! I'm glad they matched the looks: so many hospitals grow in phases, and end up as architectural teratomas.
