Between light and shadow. I walked to Richmond-Adelaide Centre this afternoon to view Spanish artist Jaume Plensa's installation 'Dreaming'. The sculpture stands three stories tall and is visually disorienting.
Another view of Spanish artist Juame Plensa's installation 'Dreaming' located at Richmond-Adelaide Centre. It is visually disorienting (stretched vertically) when viewed from the back, as shown here with towers in Toronto's Financial District.
I love this art piece. "Disorienting" is a great way to describe it. It hurts my eyes to look at it too long. Give me more weird art - it really adds interest to the city.
Wow, she really didn't get that this guy has moved here! (Also, I kinda hate it when reporters ask questions that are too broad and without context "What do you think this will do for the City of Toronto?" like we don't have any other public art.)
