Because there are courthouses coming to this site, it is covered by one of the exemptions from the 2-week closure of construction sites.

They've built an access staircase from Jarvis Street down to the bottom of the excavation.

They started moving the ramp back to Jarvis Street this morning. And they have replaced the twee Olde Towne Streete Lampe they broke a few weeks ago with one of the old acorn street lights. At least it's not on a wooden pole.

They've dug a lagre square pit roughly in the east-west centre of the site today - it's not a place where there would be an elevator pit. I wonder if that's where the crane will go? Or for water drainage from the garage?

The base for the crane was installed in the pit today and they have put in the rebar to pour concrete around it.
