Imagery can vary depending on if you're signed in to a google account or not.

Does that mean there'l be a general update soon?

June? I still get 2018 imagery.

If you download Google Earth Pro, you can go to "View" and then "Historical Imagery" to find updated imagery and you are also able to travel back to older imagery easily aswell.
