5 storey office building, 94k sf, along the new Viva busway in Newmarket. Also across the street from Newmarket GO. This is a very significant office development for Newmarket, not typical to see office buildings this size, especially in an "urban" location like this with structured parking.

Yuck. Grey, boxy, weirdly proportioned, oppressive… this is one of those buildings that normies will likely hate even more than architecture snobs (not that they'd give it high marks either).

Does anyone know if grey panelling costs less than red panelling? If not, why do people keep going for it?

Adding self-storage to an office building is such a bizarre pivot for this site. It feels like they’re trying to hedge their bets on the office market. NY99, I agree that the aesthetics are underwhelming — the grey-box look is definitely becoming a tired trend here. It’s a shame considering the initial potential for a more "urban" feel near the GO station.
