We have an overall resubmission for the 3C Lakeshore Site at Cherry and Lake Shore, with a first phase in the site's northwest corner!

Front page story here.

Database entry here.

BTW, just to start a feedback loop, this revision kills the 300 Queens Quay East plan.

Happy to see it has an LRT - oh, it's another rendering.

I don’t mind the design element here. It’s not boring. Should be upgraded, hopefully bolder, via DRP & with time- 2nd rendering. But the colour on all these structures is just dull & sterile. More vibrancy & brightness please.

I am confused by the path shown for the Queen's Quay East extension highlighted in the white arrow. Isn't the extension going to go over the newly designed Parliament Slip passing NORTH of the silos then heading in a SE direction as shown by my crudely drawn yellow arrow below??

Yes that's always the plan - QQE will skirt the silos to the north before bending back towards Keating Channel. You can see it in the original Keating Channel Precinct Plan:

This is really interesting. I had no clue Lakeshore was being re-routed and there would be development in the little pocket of the Gardiner DVP. Cool!

Just imagine how much more development would've been built if council had voted to remove the eastern portion of the Gardiner! The continuous waterfront along the Keating Channel would've been such a nice place to be.

This version isn't accurate - the hybrid version now envision rebuilding a section of the Gardiner closer to the rail corridor, in part to enable more developable sites (though with the recent uploading of the expressway to the province the status of that is now unknown).

I imagine the province will retain the Hybrid option given how some infrastructure in the area for it has already been built with the new Lakeshore Don River bridge.

How the design of Lakeshore works with the new Cherry St ramps will be interesting though, as MTO will now be commenting / leading that work..
