Oh, that could be, and would make sense! I've only seen the brace in pictures and it didn't look as steep as I'd expected
 
The diagonal braces will maintain a consistent angle and height spanning six ‘typical’ levels. The first set we are seeing span levels 3 to 5, which are all double-height. The next set of diagonal braces will span levels 6 to 10, with level 6 being double-height and levels 7-10 having typical floor-to-ceiling heights. The third set will span levels 11-16.

Walls for level 6 are currently being formed and will have hotel and amenity rooms. Levels 7 to 16 will be the hotel suites. Levels 17-18 are mechanical levels. Residential levels begin on the 19th.

there is no mezzanine on the 6th floor. the doka platforms between the mega columns are a climbing wall system (climbs with the building as it goes up) and are just there for extra storage space / more space for workers.
So has this changed? This is from the latest arch. plans submitted for the current ZBA application.
