Makes sense. After the podium is done it would be likely overkill ...and they must cost a fortune.

Looks like they are being formed out from the next concrete pour, which would lead me to think that we might see another super column metal prefab piece placed on top of the current column tops?

They're getting ready for the floor pour though. If they have another super-column prefab piece, then now would be the time to install it, before pouring the floor of the next level.
 
Like I said above, they look like they are being excluded from the area that will be poured.

Apologies, didn't read your post or look at the pictures correctly to notice that the super-column sections are formed out of the floor pour. You're right, we might get another, smaller panda. But the design only states steel sections are required for the 2 Yonge Street side super-columns. Who knows! But the pace they're working, we're bound to find out in the next few days!
