Living near a condo project isn't necessarily "hell", but you do see a lot more truck traffic and dust. That's assuming the builder is following municipal regulations for construction work, which many do.

True, but at The Well the excavation went to P7 depth, was >7 acres large, and shoring went right to the backyard lot lines of the east side of Draper Street so it was well and truly adjacent. The volumes of dust, mud, exhaust, and noise were truly exceptional and of long duration. Not a typical project.

I don’t know what you’re talking about, @Kenojuak, all this looks entirely normal…

I wonder where Muji is going?! The people who insisted that this would be a failure have been very quiet!🫣😱🤭

Finally dropped in last Friday after a couple of years, specifically to have La Cubana' s guava BBQ beef short rib Medianoche (avec red cabbage slaw, chimichurri, crispy onions etc.)... it did not disappoint.

Got to say Wellington Street was looking just fantastic - abuzz with folks (a few without their noses in their phones), doggies, diners in cafes, everything blooming.

Easily my favourite block in the city.

Love the Wellington promenade, and its liveliness this project has brought. Can't wait for King Toronto to add to it and also the connecting boulevard like section between the two parks

Muji is a big surprise, although makes total sense considering the demographic

That raised pedestrian crossing looks great, but man, the plows are going to eat that thing up.
Does the city have any snow broom sweepers (I think they're called)? These things:

Where I am in Edmonton, they have winter priority bike lanes that get swept with these things (sometimes even before car lanes). The snow here is more powdery though and doesn't get slushy like Toronto, so I wonder if that's a factor. From my understanding, these are way easier on the pavement and won't cause the damage that a metal plow would, especially on a street with bricks.
