I actually like it and also like black framed interior windows. I don't know why more developers don't do that. I'm guessing white framed are standard and as a result cost less? No idea.

I had understood that back when the original design was tabled in 2013 there were some organized, fairly vocal local detractors. Either way, pretty disappointing progression.

There was, yes. But an evolution of the Alsop design was approved. Then the site was sold to Devron who chose to use the massing but change all the details.

Had the original owner not encountered all of the fervent NIMBYism years ago, maybe she would have found a development partner to go build the Alsop design, instead of being gradually worn down and forced to sell years later.
