Another parking lot in the ED to be filled up. Hopefully they keep and make use of those rowhouses. May look quite nice if restored, and provide spaces for cafes, restaurants, bars.

I've been wondering about this property too...doesn't seem like its buttoned up under one ownership yet. The sale referenced above was for the building on adelaide and one of the row houses. No indication of a transfer of the parking lot. Anybody seen any applications or heard any gossip?

This doesn't show all of the new buildings under construction here but it gives the context of the location. This is going to be one very dense area in a few years.

All those great views from some of those Cinema Tower owners = GONE!

Good to see that lot get developed.

This tower would be right at the corner. The Cinema Tower is located back from the corner, so owners there would get a side view of this building, not a full-on one.

As long as they don't tear down those lovely townhomes.

You know looking at that pic I realize how many parking and vacant lots there are in downtown Toronto. It just seems weird because in Vancouver I don't there is even one left.

Now all those shots are from 2012, (Google's car must be in the shop), so some of them (or all of them I suppose) could have been redeveloped by now, but ssiguy2's smugness is mostly justified; there are very few parking lots to redevelop into condos in Vancouver.

Wasn't meant to be smug just an observation.

My point really was that Toronto could easily fit another 100,000 into the Dufferin/DVP/Dupont/Waterfront area without batting an eye whereas Vancouver's downtown population growth from here on will be modest.

By the way the Public Notice states this will be a 51 story condo tower ON TOP OF and 8 storey podium.........so were talking a 60 storey and maybe 200+ meter baby here.
