Is there any indication yet of what will happen / be developed on the rest of this carpark? Will the movie theatre stay as is?

The cineplex is staying. (Just saw The Fabelmans there. Didn't change my life exactly, but it was enjoyable and had some surprising moments (in a good way).)

Too wide of a stroad* yes
As this area densifies, it desperately needs better transit. While it may eventually be served by a future western portion (extension) of the Ontario Line, that is probably 2 decades or more away. Perhaps a dedicated street car right-of-way on Queensway connecting eastward from Kipling to the existing tracks near Park Lawn would help...

I'm all for future transit in the decades to come, but this is just outdated road design. It's overbuilt and not fit for purpose. If we want any of these future condo dwellers to walk anywhere we should at least be providing them with the bare minimum in terms of a safe and tolerable walking environment. Walking alongside 7 lanes of traffic going 60+km/hr is hell on earth.
