Is this really an aA project? The window wall looks low end, and the design of the podium has little to do with the design of the towers. The proportions of the towers are inelegant. It seems considerably worse than their projects 10 years ago.
Tridel ruined aA's design for Alter too. Tridel does that.
 
What are they doing down the bottom of there?

IIRC it's a stormwater (or maybe waste water) management project of some sort. There are some display boards up, and they've been working away since last spring/summer.

So strange to have good cladding and bad cladding rising side-by-side in two towers of the same complex at the same time.

I wonder how often the waist high mullions are settled on because of the inclusion of balconies on so many of our residential buildings.

I feel as though the developers feel like they can 'get away with it' or it will at least be less visible if the balcony railings align with the mullions on the rest of the window wall. Not sure if that makes sense, just always been a thought!
