The fire was actually at GoodLife upstairs. Water damage at Metro came from above. You can see they removed a whole bunch of ceiling tiles from the south end of the store (produce area).
Had to evacuate the office tower (we're on the top floor), but later on didn't seem like a lot of damage, though the whole complex smelled of smoke.

It would be temporary as the signs are placed on the air/vapour material for the wall. The exterior cladding still needs to go on.

Today they're installing some sort of opaque glass exterior cladding on the walls where the Pickle Barrel sign & windows are.

A month or two ago I saw a guy taking a photo from the same perspective as your 1st photo while I was coming down that escalator. I've always wondered if it was a UT member

There are some new renderings up in the actual mall - no big surprise but it looks like Winners will be on the second floor of the podium and Joe Fresh will occupy the mail floor along Eglinton. I'm not sure if these have been publicly announced, but it looks pretty legit from the renderings. (Non are huge surprises - I'm shocked Winners hasn't opened in that area already).
