Tax and spend.Calgary could offer residents upward of $10K as secondary suite incentive
Calgary councillors gave preliminary approval to a bid to encourage the creation of additional suites in Calgarians' homes on Wednesday.calgaryherald.com
A federal incentive is coming.I'm gonna hold out till the incentivize building a garage suite. It will help with construction costs, but also act as danger pay for doing it in Rosedale.
It was in the spring budget. Should roll out fall-ish?Any word on timing? I am actually thinking about a suite, so an incentive wouldn’t hurt.
There was no appeal, and DP2023-01945 was approved."17 Av NW Apartments" - 17.5m, 5 storeys, 33 units. A new rendering, and DP approval (but still possible to appeal until May 23rd).
Its actually an Ace liquor now. I think when it it was liquor depot was when it had the growler fill areaThe liquor store has really gone downhill since becoming a Liquor Depot. It used to have a decent selection of wine and had taps to fill growlers. I was in yesterday and couldn't tell if they were liquidating their stock or just aren't keeping much stock anymore (maybe because of the impending development).
Would be too bad to lose small businesses like Forage and Tres Marias! I also use the dry cleaner and my son takes music classes in that building.
You’re right! It was decent when it was a Liquor Depot. It’s not good now that it’s an Ace Liquor. Its actually an Ace liquor now. I think when it it was liquor depot was when it had the growler fill area
Looks promising 6-7 floors mixed use is perfect for that location. And, wouldn’t it be great to finally get rid of that of that empty lot.
