The proposal is for a 42-storey residential building with a four-storey podium, including:
  • 276 units of secured market rental housing;
  • floor space ratio (FSR) of 13.69;
  • five levels of underground parking with 148 vehicle parking stalls;
  • 345 bicycle parking spaces; and
  • a building height of 117.3 m (385 ft.)

Its too bad but I also don't like the idea to tear down the existing midrise buildings for the new developments unless the the old ones have the safety and structural issue.
 
Yes, there's plenty of underdeveloped lots in this city. A lot with a 13 storey tower is not one of them. Especially when you take into consideration what would be lost is likely a lot more affordable than what would replace it.
