I went for a drive downtown the other day and I was shocked to see that Peddlars, this big and famous bicycle store (Avenue Rd. & Davenport Rd.) was gone! And I don't think it moved, because it's gone from the phone book as well. Does anyone know what happened?

I believe it's been gone for 1 to 2 years now. They went out of business. As soon as everyone started making $ they went next door and bought a Porsche.

Thank you for the information. I thought they were doing good; that was the only store specialized in some specific makes, such as Bianchi.

Bought a couple of kids bikes there. Was always a beehive of activity. The place had a carriage trade feel to it; I'm surprised they couldn't make a go of it.
