The Toronto Biennial of Art (the Biennial/TBA) is Canada’s leading visual arts event focused exclusively on contemporary art from around the world. For 10 weeks every two years, local and international artists transform Toronto and surrounding regions with artworks, talks, and performances that reflect local contexts and pressing issues of our time. The Biennial offers 72 days of free, citywide programs that aim to inspire individuals, bridge communities, and contribute to global conversations from a variety of perspectives.

The Biennial brings together institutions, organizations, community groups, collectives, and practitioners from across Toronto to amplify the city’s vibrant and dynamic arts community and will run from March 26 to June 5, 2022. The first Biennial in 2019 welcomed 296,691 unique visitors to Toronto & the GTA, visitors came out to actively participate in the arts, and to immerse themselves in an experience and a community.
