The Thai Boon Roong Group and Sun Kian Ip Group along with architect Tous Saphoen have gained approval for construction on their latest project in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, the Thai Boon Roong Twin Tower Trade Centre. When built, this mixed-use structure will be the tallest building in Southeast Asia. The chosen construction site is across from the NagaWorld Casino and next to a river, encouraging tourism and cross-consumerism.

While the building has been approved for construction, the developers are still waiting for the final seal of approval once a technical team has reviewed the proposal.

The design is comprised of six structures, four residential buildings and two commercial buildings. The two commercial-use buildings will be the tallest, each one topping off at 1640 feet and containing 133 floors of office space. The four smaller buildings will have 59 to 65 floors of serviced hotel rooms and condominiums. There will also be an 11-storey podium structure along with three basement levels.

The royal-gold exterior aesthetic provides an air of opulence to the structures, while the connecting bridges between the twin towers and tinted windows along the lengths of the buildings provide beautiful views of the river and city below along with increased mobility within the buildings.
