Miami development firm Melo Group is watching their latest highrise property climb above the streets. As the company celebrates the sale of over 70% of units at Aria on the Bay, vertical construction has surpassed the building's 11th floor pedestal. The tower is expected to rise at a rate of one full floor every week until reaching its 53-storey pinnacle in April 2017.
The 648-unit waterfront residence offers one- to four-bedroom options averaging at a competitive $550 per square foot. Aria on the Bay's curved floor plates, wraparound terraces, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows accentuate bay and city views. Exclusive three-storey upper penthouses crown the tower, which will contain units ranging from the $400,000s to over $12 million.
The abundant amenities package includes a resort deck on the 14th floor, four swimming pools, fire pits, barbecue grills, outdoor summer kitchens, a fitness centre, and a screening room. The building's lower floors will be lined with 20,000 square feet of commercial space, with offices, retail and restaurants activating the ground plane.
The project's positive reception and strong sales built upon the success of Melo's recently completed Bay House Miami condominium. Inspired by the opera, the project's name recognizes its strategic location within the Arts and Entertainment District. The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), and the upcoming Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science at Museum Park are all located nearby. The Arquitectonica-designed project should be officially completed by the end of 2017, by which time it will become Melo Group's 14th residential tower developed within greater downtown Miami since 2001.
