Following the demolition of an entire city block's worth of residential homes and low-rise apartment buildings dating back to the 1920s, with several fine examples of Miami Deco and Spanish Revival Architecture among them, Broadstone Brickell is rising among the many new-build condo and apartment towers in the quickly evolving Brickell District of Miami

Built atop a seven-storey, 520-space parking garage, the 400,000-square-foot Broadstone Brickell development rests on a two-acre site with ample room left aside for common space and amenities. Designed by Dorsky + Yue International for Alliance Residential, the Broadstone Brickell will provide residents with a pet grooming spa, fitness centre, theatre, and pool. Set primarily within a 24-storey residential tower, the development's 372 residential units will be divided between studios, 1- and 2-bedrooms suites, and townhouses.

Once complete, the Broadstone Brickell will be representative of the rapid rate of redevelopment currently underway in Miami, where the historic edifices of the past give way to the designs of modern urban living as the desire for space within the ever-growing city is reaching unprecedented levels.

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
