Dubai's DAMAC Properties is a step closer to realizing their latest skyscraping project in the city after the selection of a construction contractor. China State Construction Engineering Corporation will build the 27 residential floors of the 64-storey Paramount Tower Hotel and Residences, which features a design by local practice Lacasa Architects and Engineering Consultants.
The $148 million USD contract entails the assembly of the luxury residential component from floors 37 to 63 of the 867-key tower fronting Dubai's skyscraper-lined Sheikh Zayed Road. Serviced by a sky lobby, residents can expect luxury amenities including a Paramount Pictures screening room, a rooftop infinity swimming pool, and a fitness and wellness centre.
The development will feature Hollywood-themed hotel suites and in-room home theatres with access to a library of Paramount films. The residential and hotel components are clearly delineated by the design, where a heavy presence of balconies indicates the project's livable areas. Already under construction, the project will be finished by the first quarter of 2020.
