A new 28-storey office project has completed construction in the heart of Jakarta's Mega Kuningan neighbourhood, straddling three main roads within the dense central business district. Designed by Airmas Asri for Brasali and Rifa Group, Satrio Tower includes 32,000 square metres of office space, two floors of retail space, and three underground parking levels.
The skyscraper is situated in an area proliferated by the headquarters of well-known corporations, banks and insurance companies, and is also where a number of shopping malls, five-star hotels and foreign embassies have established themselves. The site is within a five-minute radius of a future LRT station that will connect passengers to a 42-kilometre transit network, set to expand to 130 kilometres in later phases.
Images sent to SkyriseCities by Airmas Asri reveal a closer look at the exterior and interior architecture of the modern facility, which appears especially futuristic at night with a Blade Runner-like lighting system outlining the angular edges of the tower. A large triangular cutout at the corner frames the canopied entrance, an architectural trait that plays out on the upper levels of the building as well.
A lush landscaping program gives vigour to the space beyond the footprint of the tower, while the interior presents a sense of solidity and permanence common to the office skyscraper, with massive stone walls comprising the lobby aesthetic.
