A 54-storey residential tower is taking root beside the Bell Centre, home of the Montreal Canadiens, the longest continuously operating professional ice hockey team. The downtown development brings together Canderel, Cadillac Fairview, the Montreal Canadiens, and the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ to execute a crystalline addition to the skyline.

The 54-storey condominium is a direct follow-up to the 50-storey Tour des Canadiens, one of the most significant towers to rise in Montreal in recent years. The IBI Group-designed second phase, featuring a more sculptural design, was inspired by icicles. At night, the tapered crown will glow. Closer to the ground, a four-storey atrium will overlook the St. Antoine-Jean d'Estrees plaza, with a skybridge connecting the building to Windsor Station and the Bell Centre. The building's stone-faced podium is integrated with the adjacent heritage building.

Tour des Canadiens 2 will be packed with 590 units of various sizes and layouts, from studios, one- and two-bedroom spaces to penthouses and townhomes. Residents will enjoy access to a rooftop lounge, equipped with a bar and dining area. An infinity pool and an outdoor terrace with private cabanas, a fireplace, lounge seating, a cocktail bar, and barbecues is also included in the amenities package. A wine bar and Canadiens-themed games and fitness areas cap the extensive on-site conveniences.

Construction erupted out of the ground in April and is now about a dozen floors above the street. Crews have begun installing the sprinkler system, electrical ducts and ventilation in the parking levels, with an eye to completion in 2019.
