A 57-storey tower will be the latest skyscraper to join one of Miami's fastest growing neighbourhoods. Elysee, developed by South Florida's Two Roads Development and entities managed by New York investment firm DW Partners, has now officially broken ground at 788 NE 23rd Street.

The news follows 2017's delivery of Biscayne Beach, which signified Two Roads Development's luxury condominium debut in the East Edgewater neighbourhood. Elysee has built upon the groundwork laid by that development, with continual demand for waterfront living driving the 100-unit project.

The heavily glazed envelope of the building, designed by Bernardo Fort-Brescia of Arquitectonica, facilitates 180-degree city and water views from each residence. Described by the architect as a "reverse ziggurat," the building's form follows its function, delegating smaller apartments to the more compact floors below, and the larger suites to the expansive upper levels.

Elysee's 100 half-floor residences come with three to five bedrooms, boast 2,300 to 4,000 square feet, and are priced from $1.5 to $10 million. Private elevators and foyers, 10- to 12-foot ceiling heights, impact-resistant glass windows and sliding doors, and Sub-Zero appliances are afforded in every suite. Residents wanting to catch the sunrise or sunset will have either an east- or west-facing terrace to do so.

All residents will have access to the seventh floor amenities level, which comes equipped with a resort-size lap pool and refreshment bar, outdoor summer kitchen and barbecue terrace, fitness centre, spa and private sauna, and a children's playroom. There's also a massive owners lounge that takes over the entire 30th floor, with a bar area, 30-seat dining room, library, private theatre, and game room occupying the space.
