A vertical neighbourhood featuring designs by some of the world's most notable architects attracted a whirlwind of buyers last year, becoming New York City's fastest-selling new development by dollar volume and by the number units sold in 2017. The announcement comes just a few months after the three-tower Waterline Square achieved structural topping out, erupting its crystalline forms above Manhattan and the Hudson River.

"Waterline Square is a ground-breaking development, and we couldn't be more excited to see it come to life so quickly," said James Linsley, President of GID Development Group. "It’s very gratifying to see such an incredible response from the market, as well as the enthusiasm from our buyers who see how special this project is. Each unit purchased at Waterline Square has been sold for the original asking price without any discounts, which is a testament to the great product we’re offering."

The complex will contain 263 condominiums across skyscrapers designed by Richard Meier & Partners Architects, Rafael Vinoly Architects, and Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates. Waterline Club, a 90,000-square-foot indoor amenities suite, will connect the three towers. A three-acre park featuring tree-lined groves, grassy areas, walking trails, a playground, and multiple water features will also be available for recreation and relaxation. Not to mention a 28,000-square-foot experiential food market by the Cipriani family nestled within Two Waterline Square.

Within the first six months of sales, 53 contracts were signed, representing an approximate total of $200 million. Waterline Square set a new price-per-square-foot record on Riverside Boulevard in its signing of a $15.5 million, $4,097 per-square-foot residence. Closings are slated for the beginning of 2019.
