A hotly anticipated highrise development by internationally known architects Studio Gang will soon grace the skyline of St. Louis. Simply named One Hundred, the 36-storey apartment building has broken ground, and will erupt from an underutilized site currently occupied by a surface parking lot.

Formally similar to the stacked tier aesthetic most notably implemented at Taipei 101, One Hundred employs four-storey modules that are repeated across the rise of the tower. The canted facades facilitate sizable outdoor spaces on the top of each tier, giving terraces to a quarter of the residences. The design also allows for a common amenity space on the green roof podium. Working in tandem with several other green roofs on the property, they collectively gather and store rainwater for irrigation.

Interiors are designed to maximize views of Forest Park and the iconic Gateway Arch, with each unit boasting corner living rooms with double exposures. On the ground, the streetscape is animated by public and retail spaces.

The 117-metre-tall development at 100 North Kingshighway is being spearheaded by Mac Properties out of New Jersey. They plan to deliver the $130 million project by mid-2020.
