French architect Jean Nouvel's supertall diagrid is reshaping the Manhattan skyline as work moves onto the tower's peaked crown. Last summer, 53W53 had surpassed the halfway point and climbed above the neighbouring 1330 Avenue of the Americas.

HinesGoldman Sachs Real Estate and Singapore-based Pontiac Land Group are executing the 320-metre-tall skyscraper, which expresses itself through an exposed structural system of diagonal frames. The sculptural tower will hold 145 high-end residences, ranging in size from one- to five-bedroom condominiums. Each unit will boast a unique interior layout, a result of the building's disparate form.

Communal facilities include a fitness centre, golf simulator, squash court, theatre, and children's playroom. Residents will also enjoy a 17,000-square-foot wellness centre equipped with a 65-foot-long swimming pool and a double-height lounge spanning the 46th and 47th floors. The building's base will incorporate three levels of gallery space for the Museum of Modern Art.
