Fourteen months since our last update, and progress at the site of Rocket Investments' Atlas in East London's Tech City district has been moving along well, the 40-storey sculptural tower designed by Make Architects now all but complete. Soon to be home to 302 units' worth of residential, the 152-metre Atlas has cut a fine figure from its location at 30-60 South Lambeth Road, joined by its diminutive, but no less striking 9-storey office counterpart, the dynamic duo seen together in the images below.

Featuring a series of setbacks and what has been described a "blade-like" massing, Atlas's innovative, stepped silhouette makes for a fine addition to East London's Tech City district, the real-life project highly reminiscent of a 3D model.

Adding to Atlas' striking, tech-friendly appearance, the pixelated facade, vaguely evocative of a defragmenting hard drive, serves the two structures well, the multi-tone colour scheme contrasting nicely against the London skyline.

Once complete, Atlas will be a welcome addition to East London's Tech City district, the injection of residential plus office space offering a good balance of uses to the quickly evolving neighbourhood.
