Coming soon to Cairns, Australia, the Riley will soon become the latest addition to the Crystalbrook Collection of hotels upon its debut in November, 2018. Located along the beautiful Queensland coastline, within snorkel distance of the Great Barrier Reef, the 13-storey Riley will add 311 guest rooms to the Cairns waterfront.

Designed by the Sydney-based, ThomsonAdsett, the Riley is evocative of a Chinese finger trap, its cylindrical silhouette wider at the top and bottom than its mid-section.

The five-star Riley will feature a 1,037 square-metre lagoon pool, four restaurants, and a rooftop tower bar, and guests will have proprietary access to the beachfront immediately out front of the hotel.

Wrapped in glass, the sculptural tower will be a beacon of modern architecture along the Cairns coastline, a touch of Sydney in northern Queensland.

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
