Two months since our last update, and progress at the site of the nearly complete X Miami has been moving along swiftly. Work crews have been busy applying the finishing touches to the 32-storey, 464-unit, apartment block, including the application of a large public art installation, and the completion of the ground-floor retail space.

Bringing a bit of whimsy to the otherwise battleship-grey facade of the tower, the super-sized image of a man on a beach with a beautiful female giant laying prone on the horizon, now graces the side of the structure.

Designed by CFE Architects for Property Markets Group, X Miami will feature a range of amenities, including a grassy courtyard and pool deck, complete with cabana bar and amhpitheatre-style lookout. Meeting the street at ground level, the tower will also include a handful of retail spaces, a good fit considering the tower's close proximity to downtown Miami

Just west of Bayfront Park, and thus within close walking distance to the beach, as well as the First Street Metromover Station, X Miami is well-situated, the downtown development a welcome addition to the neighbourhood.

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
