Development consortium Billbergia and AMP Capital are witnessing their magnum opus come to life in the heart of Brisbane, where the city's tallest residential tower has risen above its neighbours. Vertical construction on the 90-storey building continues at breakneck speed as the celebratory topping-out milestone rapidly approaches.

Designed by The NRA Collaborative, the height of the 270-metre-tall tower was dictated by requirements set by the Brisbane Airport Corporation. Original plans for the site by architectural firm Bates Smart would have seen a combined hotel and apartment building which was later reworked into the single residential tower that is now nearing exterior completion.

Some 250 workers have descended on the site to deliver the building and its 1,138 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. At its apex, four spacious penthouses stand below a rooftop infinity edge swimming pool with a multitude of recreational facilities, including a gym and health space. On the ground, street-oriented retail and an office component add programmatic diversity to Brisbane's newest destination.
