Following its recent groundbreaking ceremony in Lower Manhattan, construction is set to begin at the site of Greenwich West at 110 Charlton Street in Hudson Square. A joint effort split between developers Strategic Capital, Cape Advisors, and Forum Absolute, the tower itself has been designed by a collaboration between Loci Anima, Sebastien Segers, and Adamson Associates

Erected on the site of two early 20th century edifices, Greenwich West has been tucked cleverly amidst a block of sturdy masonry structures, thereby adding density without a great deal of destruction to the local streetscape.

Down at street level, the fine, French-inspired detail work of created by its Parisian design team, will provide some Old World charm to this otherwise thoroughly modern building, the entrance and main lobby to feature double height ceilings and over-sized windows.

Ranging from studios to three-bedroom units, prices will start at $1 million, the project to place future residents between Greenwich Village, SoHo, and Tribeca, with those perched high enough to be graced with sweeping vistas of the Hudson River and surrounding skyline.

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
