Nearly two years since last checking in at Chicago's Wolf Point, and progress on the Wolf Point East Tower has begun to make some serious headway, the second of the three-phase high-rise development slated for completion by late 2019. Located along the north bank of the Chicago River just across from The Loop, the 60-storey, 660-foot apartment tower will bring 698 rental units to River North.

Viewed above and below, Wolf Point East can be seen having risen at least 5 storeys above grade, the second tower to stand fully a dozen storeys taller than its 2016-completed sibling, Wolf Point West. While detail on the future of Wolf Point South remain somewhat vague, the final tower is reported to be the tallest by far, coming at an an approximate 950 feet.

Designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, the $360 million (USD) Wolf Point East will front directly onto the Chicago River, and as such will include a significant amount of riverfront beautification and landscaping work, and the construction of a new waterfront park and path system.

Viewed from the Chicago River, Wolf Point will eventually become a fixture of the Windy City's iconic skyline, the tower trio to bring a significant amount of steel and glass to the downtown core.

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
