The tallest tower to grace Manhattan's famous West Side mega-development, the 30 Hudson Yards topped off earlier this summer, the 387-metre supertall to deliver 2.5 million square feet of prime office space to the area. Sharing its podium base with its diminutive sister tower, 10 Hudson Yards, each have been designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates with a signature slant, their twin pointed pinnacles appearing to pierce the sky.

30 Hudson Yards is unusual in its complete devotion to office space, most of its neighbours either residential or mixed-use. Spread across 73 storeys, the tower's 2.5 million square feet of top tier office space will feature breathtaking panoramic views of the Hudson River and surrounding skyline.

Boosting the Instagram potential of its world class views, the addition of what will soon become the highest outdoor observation deck in the western hemisphere (seen below), is sure to be a draw for employees and visitors alike.

Once complete in 2019, 30 Hudson Yards will represent a massive landmark for the development as a whole, Hudson Yards set to become a city within a city.

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
