More than year since our last update, and progress at the site of Chicago's 101-storey Vista Tower has progressed dramatically, the undulating, three-volume supertall now standing nearly full height. Designed by Studio Gang for Magellan Development Group and the Wanda Group, the 363-metre development will soon become the Windy City's third-tallest tower.

Situated along the banks of the Chicago River, just steps away from Millennium Park, Vista Tower commands an imposing presence, its signature, undulating silhouette set to become a trademark piece of the Chicago skyline. Not just a pretty facade, the rhythmic elevations serve to provide maximum views and natural light potential for those within.

Vista Tower will soon be home to 406 luxury condo units, designed by Hirsch Bedner Associates, to be outfitted with floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood floors, and quartz countertops. Amenities will include a 47th floor fitness centre, outdoor pool deck, games room, lounges, and a private dining suite.

The lower levels of the tower will host the five star, 210-key, Wanda Vista Hotel, set to become the first of its kind in the United States. Once complete in 2020, Vista Tower will be a welcome addition to the cityscape, part of Chicago's ongoing building boom and urban redevelopment.

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
