Ten months since our last update, and progress at the site of the 27-acre Miami Worldcenter by CIM GroupFalcone Group and CFE Architects has moved along smoothly. The nearly complete, 43-storey CAOBA will soon be joined by the 60-storey Paramount, thereby bringing the high-density mega-development two major steps closer to completion.

The first to top off and reach completion, the 43-storey CAOBA is also part of the first phase of the Seventh Street Apartments, the tower to contain 444 units atop 20,000 square feet of dining and retail. The mega-development is well-located close to Miami Central, the new transit hub featuring quick connections to Fort Lauderdale, West Palm, and Orlando.

Spanish for "mahogany," CAOBA gets its name from the luxurious connotations affiliated with the rare wood's deep tones, durability, and colour. Billed thus as a luxury building, CAOBA will place residents in a well-equipped city-in-a-city, the many amenities available at Miami Worldcenter to cater to every whim and desire.

Kitty corner to CAOBA, the 60-storey Paramount has also topped off, with exterior cladding and glazing work nearing completion. A touch more dynamic than its neighbour, Paramount's blue glass exterior and complex silhouette serves to set the taller of the two towers apart.

The 500-unit Paramount will be outfitted with a significant amount of first-class amenities, including an outdoor soccer field, indoor basketball court, rooftop observatory, game room, and 26 for-sale poolside cabanas. Looking ahead, Paramount will also include the city's first residential "skyport," specifically designed to handle the flying cars of the future ("Great Scott!").

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
