Two weeks removed from a spectacular New Year's lighting display that turned the world's tallest building into a giant digital canvas, SACO Technologies and EMAAR Properties are marking the one-year anniversary of the media facade's installation. The massive LED screen was unveiled at the "Light Up 2018" New Year's celebration and travels 770 metres up the east facade of the 828-metre-tall Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

"We always immerse ourselves in pushing the envelope and developing solutions that our clients use to express themselves, and there is no other quite like Burj Khalifa, truly one of the most iconic buildings of our time," said Fred Jalbout, Chairman and CEO of SACO. "Our great team of innovators is dedicated to bringing unique solutions to the world. We are very proud to contribute to the Dubai landscape, a hub of ingenuity and innovation, very much like SACO."

The light show, which was repeated in front of over one million people to ring-in 2019, established a new Guinness World Record for the largest laser light and sound show on a single structure. Taking six months from design to install, the installation includes over 28 kilometres of SACOs V-Stick solution and a carrier integrated into the architectural fin of the building. Designed and executed in just seven months, the project retained rope access specialists to work on the side of the building.

The light show will be repeated until March 31, 2019.
