Aerial images have captured construction of a 57-storey condominium development along Miami's Biscayne Bay as sales near the 50 percent mark. Crews have reached the 18th floor of the 98-unit Elysee at 788 NE 23rd Street, but still have a long way to go. The building will eventually rest at a height of 198 metres, making it one of the tallest residential buildings in the city.

Two Roads Development is partnering with New York-based investment firm DW Partners to carry out the project, with Bernardo Fort-Brescia of Arquitectonica providing the design. The towering volume is composed of three tiers. Protruding as the building grows in height to capitalize on valuable bay and city views, Elysee's half- and full-floor units encompass between 2,300 and 4,000 square feet of space and range in price from over $1.5 million to $10 million. All residences will be provided with private elevators, 10- to 12-foot ceilings, gourmet kitchens and expansive terraces.

A seventh floor amenities level is stocked with a resort-size lap pool and refreshment bar, outdoor summer kitchen and barbecue area, fitness centre, spa, steam and massage rooms, and children's playroom. The 30th floor is devoted to entertainment, making space for a lounge and bar area, 30-seat dining room, library, private theatre, games room and wine room.

A sales gallery for the development will open at Biscayne Beach Residences in February and will feature 5,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, replicating the experience promised at Elysee.

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
