Italian design house Pininfarina has partnered with developer Nikhi Group to bring the 17-storey Sixty6 to Limassol, Cyprus. The residential development follows a series of similar successful projects by the award-winning international firm, whose parent organization has designed cars for numerous manufacturers, including Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Fiat and GM.

The 10,000-square-metre Sixty6 embodies the likeness of Cyprus' sandstone cliffs with an elliptical shape that optimizes views of the sea, located only 300 metres away, from all apartments. The goal, Pininfarina says, was to "conceive a new way to experience and enjoy the sea life through architecture and new technologies."

External glass walls and spacious balconies help achieve that goal, controlling solar radiation and imbuing the project with an architectural personality. The interiors contain apartments ranging in size from studios to five-bedroom floor plans, with a swimming pool, fitness centre and in-house spa facilities among the amenity offerings.

Pininfarina currently has offices in Italy, Germany, China and the United States. Recent projects in its portfolio include Istanbul New Airport ATC Tower, 1100 Millcentro in Miami and luxury residential developments in Balneario Camboriu, Brazil.
