New images advertise the panoramic views residents of The Amberly, Downtown Brooklyn's new 33-storey luxury rental tower, can come to expect after moving in. Developed by AmTrust Realty Corp., the project dedicates its sprawling uppermost floor to The Overlook, a sky-high lounge that offers all residents sweeping vistas of the New York City skyline and its network of bridges.
Located at 120 Nassau Street where Brooklyn Heights, DUMBO and Downtown Brooklyn meet, the 270-unit complex includes floor plans ranging from studios to three-bedroom residences. The first tower in the United States designed inside and out by international architecture firm Woods Bagot features high-end finishes inspired by the Brooklyn vernacular, with white subway tile backsplashes, custom walnut cabinetry and Caesarstone countertops adding character to the kitchens.
The exterior design is a homage to the historic brownstones of Brooklyn. The pattern on the terracotta facade gives way to floor-to-ceiling windows, maximizing light and views in the living and dining spaces.
The Overlook is peppered with furniture from designer Dan Mazzarini and his team at BHDM Design. Co-working areas and nooks for casual conversation give residents ample opportunity to interact with one another. Additional amenities can be found on the ninth floor, where a spacious lounge and wraparound sundeck features a landscaped terrace, grills and al fresco dining areas. A multi-zone fitness centre, 24-hour concierge, and private driveway cater exclusively to occupants, while a 10,000-square-foot plaza outside the lobby gifts green space to the neighbourhood.
