Seven months since our last update, and progress at the Hotel Indigo Miami Brickell has been slow but steady as the finishing touches are now getting underway. Developed by HES Group and Sunview Companies, the 24-storey, short- and long-term hotel tower now nearing completion in the heart of downtown Miami is on target to welcome its first guests later this year.

Primarily clad in what can only be described as "Battleship Grey," the bulk of the tower is relatively nondescript, the small windows and general lack of exterior details only adding to the project's overall sense of malaise. Moving down to street level, the grey-on-grey theme continues unabated, the base of the tower faced in a mix of dark grey spandrel and lighter grey corrugated metal.

Set to be home to a multi-storey parking level, the above-grade garage will form the base of the structure, with space left over for the common areas and lobby. Amenities will include a 2,000 sq. ft. meeting room, a gym, and outdoor pool and lounge.

The top of the tower will be home to 90 extended stay luxury units, while the largest, mid-section of the tower will hold 140 regular hotels rooms. Once complete, the Hotel Indigo Miami Brickell will be a fine, if perhaps uninspired, addition to the core.

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
