A month since our last update, and progress upon the recently topped off One Bishopsgate Plaza in London has continued to move along well. Cladding work has now reached the top portion of the 135-metre mixed-use tower by UOL Group and PLP Architecture, it to be not long before the structure is completely covered.

One Bishopsgate Plaza will be home to Europe's first Pan Pacific Hotel, which in this current iteration, will feature 237 guestrooms. On top of this, 160 condo units will be included, these and the hotel suites to both sit atop a large ground floor retail space.

Composed of multiple volumes and textures, One Bishopsgate Plaza features several irregular massings, along with distinctive, angled corners, which serve to give the tower a unique silhouette. The beveled corners will be covered in translucent, glass-finned edges, thereby adding some extra aesthetic pop to the design.

Down below, the "Plaza" segment of the development will include shops, cafes, a water feature, and elegant landscaping. Located in the heart of the City, and connected to transit via a direct link to Liverpool Street Station, One Bishopsgate Plaza will be a prime address for visitors and residents alike.

SkyrsiseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
