The BMO Harris Financial Center has progressed nicely since our last update in 2017. The project is set to rise 25 storeys in the East Town neighbourhood on the east bank of the Milwaukee river. For Milwaukee, a town long known for its association with beer and cold winters, this is a relatively new type of project which will be a nice addition to the city's booming urban core.

The project is currently being erected next to the original BMO Harris Building on the site of its former parking garage. A ground level retail outlet for BMO with frontage onto N Water and E Wells streets will help to animate the corner.

Since we last covered the project back in early 2017 the project has progressed by leaps and bounds. Vertically, the building has topped out at its peak of 25 storeys.

Glazing for the development has reached the 16th storey with the rest to finish up fairly quickly. Work is also being done on the ground level component soon to house a BMO retail outlet.

Work is slated to wrap up in late 2019, which, with the addition of the Milwaukee Streetcar two blocks to the east, will ensure that the BMO Harris Financial Center will be well-connected to the core.

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
